Campuses of Kozhikode since its inception in 2017 aims to leverage youth’s social orientation and creativity in association with district administration to foster the sustainable development of the district. It acts as a platform to harness the creativity, social consciousness, and innovative thinking of youth to drive sustainable development within the district thus cultivating a generation of proactive, committed, and empathetic individuals.
The guiding principle of CoK is succinctly embodied in its motto - "Compassion in Action." Key areas of priority under this endeavor include Drug awareness, Well-being of the marginalized, Water literacy, Energy conservation, Waste management, Women and Children, E-literacy, Physical and Mental health, Disaster Management, Legal Awareness, etc. Our flagship projects include the Canolly Canal survey, Kayyethum Dhoorathu, Suchitwa Saaksharatha, City beautification, and Puthulaharikk Oru Vote.
Canolly Canal Survey is a one-day participatory survey undertaken by the district administration in collaboration with the Campuses of Kozhikode units, the town planning corporation & other departments along the 11.4 Km Canolly Canal on 5th September 2018 as a part of the efforts to rejuvenate the canal and revive it as one of the cleanest tourism destinations in the city.
About 335 students from various educational institutions under Campuses of Kozhikode took part in the survey that collected details on the socio-economic-environmental and engineering aspects of the region.
